Hello Jonytp12,
I am a diabetic and celiac also, I was actually reading the other day that 10% of people with type 1 diabetes has coeliac disease also. So maybe there is where the theory comes from lol. I can tell you that I am petty stable now, but I never really had a choice, I have to eat gluten free. I actually have a book of Gluten Free recipes for people with diabetes and they are great and tasty. I also eat a lot of spinach and brocoli as you say, but in that book you can find lots of other recipes that you will love. I might leave one of my favourite recipes on the Health and info part so you can check it out and you can look for the book on a store, I bought it on a trip I did to the US but I think here in the UK you can find it also.
Well I hope this helps you a bit.

Hey everyone,
Recently I changed a bit my diet to control my sugar levels, and it has helped me a lot. It consists mainly on oatmeal, spinash, brocoli and salmon. I mean a bit more balances, but I try those elements to appear at least once every day. The thing is that I was reading the other day that gluten free diet is suuper good for diabetes, but that would mean cuting out the oatmeal and other stuff.
Has someone tried gluten free diet that could tell me if in fact is that good?
Thanks
