I'm lucky enough to be able to walk unaided at this stage in my life. Osteoporosis and osteoarthritis are both painful but I'll attempt to walk unaided for as long as I can before any type of tool is required.

Very rarely will I use my walker. As for furniture, I find that ergonomic is very expensive, so I just look for taller furniture to sit in. I am 6'1 and my husband is 6'4, and its difficult for get up and down from shorter places. We did take out our old "standard" toilets years ago and put tall commodes in. That in itself makes a world of difference getting up and down. So much easier now!
