My doctor did explain it to me but I was a bit shocked and found that I learned a lot more on online. I felt better once I could gain knowledge myself and then go back to ask the doctor about it afterwards.
I follow diet plans from more online sources than my doctor, sometimes she seems too rushed to be able to spend quality time discussing the future.

After Ultrasound, MRI with Contrast, Fibroscan and then a Liver Biopsy I was finally told I had Non Alcoholic Steato-hepatitis (NASH). My spouse was with me at the Consultation with the Liver Specialist and he was to the point and told me to get my Blood Sugars under control (being a Diabetic), loose some weight and eat plenty of Vegetables. Or it won't be too long before I end up on the Liver Transplant List!!! = Shocked is not the word I would say to describe how I felt at that time.

Hello @Lillymaddy ,
Thanks for your message and welcome!
Hello Members,
I hope you don't mind me tagging you, but I was wondering if any of you could share your experiences with dietary advice or your prognosis regarding NASH? How are you doing now?

Hello, I'm new here and I'm in this situation. My GP hasn't explained the disease to me, even though I have asked questions. He simply told me to stop eating fatty foods and exercise more, not how to deal with the pain (other than anti-inflammatories) or about any alternative medicine.
If anyone knows about natural remedies or diets that can help, please let me know. Thank you in advance.

One of the main complaints of those diagnosed with Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease is that the doctor spent little to no time explaining to them their condition, the prognosis, and the plan of care at the appointment where they received their diagnosis or where they were told the findings of the medical studies revealing nonalcoholic fatty liver disease.
What has been your experience? Did you have a similar experience or did your doctor explain to you the condition? The plan of care?
