I take each day as it comes, try to have a focus for that day. Today is pretty good, but it gives me a nudge every now and again. H

@JosephineO I am feeling pretty good today for the first time in weeks! It was the first night in a long time that I didn't wake up multiple times throughout the night feeling anxious. I hope this feeling continues and I wish a good day to you all!

I feel robotic...I'm awake I think? but feeling really strange...as if I'm here but not visible..I just don't know who I am anymore....since turning 70 and so far having a bad year...sometimes I wonder if its still my depression....or if I am withdrawing....I feel my soul is just so tired
...I know I'm waffling a little..I feel confused...sorry to sound so negative ..love and peace to all xx

@MaggiD Hi there I can really relate to what you are experiencing. Since I came into my '60' a few years ago my health has taken a turn for the worse. I can / do struggle on a daily basis find I'm having more 'poor days' than good and will try so many different things to get some sense of order and joy in my life. I am a Christian and told regularly by non Christian friends that I should be happy and content / some Christian friends say 'just trust in the Lord he had plans for your life.
I would encourage to find whatever it is within you to carry on and find joy and peace everyday no matter how small that might be. Do not feel that you are rambling your feelings and thoughts are as valid as the next persons. Take care

I am having a good day so far, it will change when my daughter comes in from work with granddaughter from nursery. She steps in front door and shouts to,her son to look after his sister and that is all she will do for the rest of the evening, shouting either granddaughter as done something she shouldn't have done she shouts you are doing my head in
HOW DO I COPE
I go into my bedroom(which is down stairs) I shut the door read a book or out TV on loud so I can't hear what is going on. Only come out if she or her partner as done something for evening meal. If not I will do something for me, they will not eat if I have done something for all of us. If eldest comes in with or without grandsons, goes to fridge or freezer and asks who as used so and so usually it is me,he will say that was mine some times my daughter says the same. My way of dealing w with it is to go to my room and shut the door, they treat me as a little boy.I go to my docs every 4 weeks and we just talk which is a great help, he gives me my prescription,(no medicine for depression) Talking is enough for me.

@MaggiD I had a similar period of a few months that turned out to be my psych meds conflicting with a statin I had recently started. I'm bipolar but had never had "psychotic" symptoms or dissociation before. I was on Quetiapine at the time.
Go to your doctor - good luck! ❤

AmbassadorLizzie when we loss loved ones some people are expecting to grieve in the same way with each bereavement, and are even more upset because they dont. this can be for many reasons, for example it could be the age of the loved one, how close you were to a certain person, how well they physically or emotionally knew a loved one. or lastly some of us may never have met a loved one for many reasons. or if physical events had taken place ,and a loved one could not be viewed by family and friends
this happened me was because, my son and i parted with bad blood between us, and when his baby daughter was born , and died age 50 minutes i was banned from attending her service or internment, her name was Rebecca Jade, but i called her Becky, and i bought her a small headstone and i go to her grave at least once a month with fresh flowers. i will always love my grandaughter, but possibly not as much as my Angel wife or son, who took his own life.?
