As an ex school Governor, if you aren't getting any joy from your sons school then make a written complaint to the Board of Governors . Your local education dept should then be involved.
There are policies in place that need to be followed and so your port of call if your sons form teacher isn't helpful then make an appointment to see the Headteacher.
Please try and stay calm during this very emotional situation; your sons education and happiness/well being is the most important issue.
I personally wouldn't take the step of withdrawing your son from school ;give the authorities time to address the issues.
All educational establishments have a duty of care towards their students. Approach the Head of Pastoral care.
Remember to look after yourself in the process.
