@Courtney_J Oh this is brilliant! I've been feeling guilty because I've put on a bit of weight since this all started and it's not good for my NASH. I've just put on my shoes to go for a walk! I'm trying to walk at least 20 minutes a day, and hopefully after a bit I can work up to a little jog. One of my girlfriends has been trying to get me into Zumba classes with her for ages, so maybe I'll start doing that with her, we'll see won't we?

I'm also the opposite I have lost weight walking more round the garden and keeping busy that's helping me. I walk round the garden every hour for 2/3 times, which I wouldn't have done
I can either be depressed and not happy or take responsibility for MY actions and have found this alright for me, and in a happy place at the minute

I’ve found that even exercising daily, we take the dogs out for a walk in the Forest, behind our house it’s not enough high impact or quick walking, because the dogs are always stopping to sniff everything.
I feel guilty leaving them for 30 minutes to do a Power Walk a couple of times a week, unfortunately thinking this maybe the way forward, if I do my walk early I can always take them out later, when the temperatures have eased off.
keeping the weight off, although not easy.

I've found my diet has been poor, but as I'm working from home, its allowed more time and I've been walking a lot.
Need to get eating right foods now! Lol.

I have been affected by the numbers of people affected by corona virus, its distressing to see so many people suffer

I have worked since the start of the lockdown and the balance has changed - but I appear to have been busier. I have put more miles on the bus which is usually a fair indicator! As to exercise - I am paraplegic so that is not an easy option - except for swimming [which is not currently available]. Because I am diabetic and have myasthenia my diet is pretty rigid so no changes there. The battles not over yet - stay safe !!! Gecko

Before this mess started I was at the gym 5 days a week. I've got dumbells & I go jogging, but all the same I have lost muscle, gained 7 pounds & have aching knees from jogging on concrete rather than a nice soft treadmill.
So, I'm trying a juicing diet, which is famous for knocking off weight super quick. 4 of the pounds gained have gone in just 72 hours, which is great, but no substitute for the gym. It's going to be a long summer.

Hello everyone,
How are you today?
For many of us, the lockdown has led us to pick up a few bad habits: snacking, more time in front of the telly and less exercise. According to a study backed by the British Obesity Society, nearly 50% of British people say they have put on weight since lockdown began in March, with more than 16% gaining five pounds or more in the first six weeks.
Now that the good spring weather is on its way, let's motivate one another to get back into shape!
How have you experienced the lockdown in terms of diet and activity? Are you ready to take part in our challenge?
What are you doing to get back into sport or exercise? What kind of sport do you do? How often do you do it?
Feel free to share any exercises, light recipes or ideas to get back into shape!
Take care,
Courtney
