As one of the Ambassadors on Carenity UK, please can I remind our Members that Michael has unfortunately left us and found greener pastures.
We now have @Courtney_J as our Community Manager... I'm sure she will do a great job at keeping our community happy!

Hi Michael and members. Struggling to navigate this site but came across these messages so just thought I'd add mine to all you warriors out there. Stay strong everyone and and try find humour wherever you can. I'm a big believer in smiling in the face of adversity. I have mesothelioma, a life limiting cancer. Due my second round of chemo on Tuesday. Best they can hope for is it will stop the cancer growing for a while, but hey ho, one day at a time.Take care everyone and wish you all the best with your illnessess xxxx

Welcome Courtney
Community managers don't seem to last long. We have had so many come and go. Hope you will be happy with us and stay long enough to get to know us well, and support us. Wish you good luck in your new venture I am Christina, just turned 76. have had 5 Spinal surgeries with extensive metal work in my back. I am bent from my hips and walk with 2 crutches. I also have hypertension. Raised Cholesterol, and Osteo Arthritis. With all that, I am still active. I exercise at home daily and go to gym once a week and swim twice a week. Alas, with this Corona Virus, social distancing and self isolating, all that has stopped apart from exercising on line at home.
Hope you will be happy in your new post
Best wishes

@Courtney_J
Hi. I have just joined this group and finding my way around it slowly. I am an asthmatic. I have been in isolation due to covid-19 symptoms. Did the 7 days but chest is still bad so been advised to do another 7. Steroids and antibiotics have finished but still no better.

@Sueclark37 Hello Sueclark37,
Thank you for your comment, welcome to Carenity! I'm sorry you're having to stay in isolation. Have you had a chance to share in our Living with Asthma group, I think our members may have some words of advice or support for you.
Take care,
Courtney

Sorry to hear you are suffering despite the Steroids and Antibiotics, I hope you begin to feel better soon. Have you tried just plain hot water steam inhalation/ it does open up your Bronchial tubes and help you breath better. Won't do you any harm.

Hello members,
Over the last year I have really enjoyed being your Community Manager. You have all inspired me with your stories of strength facing your different conditions and you have opened my mind through reading your discussions.
It is with a heavy heart that I say goodbye to you all. I wish you all the very best going forward and I hope you all continue using Carenity and finding it a useful support tool.
It’s my pleasure to introduce Michael who will be moderating the UK forum from here on out. Be sure to give him a hearty welcome and don’t hesitate to contact him with your questions or concerns.
Much love,
Josephine
