Hello @Amssssss! How are you feeling today?
Thank you so much for starting this discussion — the topic seems quite interesting! However, please make sure to consult your doctor first before you start using gelatin supplements if you have been on regular medication lately.
I'll go ahead and tag a few members of our community that I feel might be able to help answer your question better:

Take care now,

@Somya.P hi no I haven't tried gelatin as my GP never mentioned that I should use it. I am prescribed zomorph capsules twice a day but can't have them increased due to the prolactin level in my blood. I might mention gelatin next time I see my GP

@Somya.P I take nothing for my pain. My doctor has given me Co-codamol but it isn’t good for your stomach and it’s addictive. I would like to use gelatin. Does it have to be prescribed by a doctor?

@WeeEileen
Hello!
Even though gelatin usually does not require a prescription and can be easily available in capsules or powder forms as a supplement, it might not be the ideal alternative for your medication. It is best to consult your doctor first before making any changes to your pain management routine.
If you are concerned about the side effects of Co-codamol, you can try asking your doctor for other non-addictive pain relief options or alternative medications that are better suited for your condition based on your specific needs and medical history.
Take care and feel better soon!
Best regards,
Somya from the Carenity team

No, have not tried it. I'm not on anything for arthritis at the moment.

I read some stories online of people taking gelatin (any form of gelatin) daily and no longer needing painkillers for arthritis pain. Has anyone tried it? Do you think it's worth a shot?
