Hello members, I hope you don't mind that I've tagged you! Have any of you taken on Afatinib? Can you share your experience with Barbara? Did you have any side effects? Is there anything we should know about it?

Sorry to add to this discussion at such a late date. Afatinib was the first treatment I was given. The major side effect was very bad diarrhoea. Far worse was that it stopped working after the first 3-6months. Unfortunately this was the start of a pattern of not working. So since then I have had 5 days of radio therapy, immunotherapy and chemotherapy. I am now waiting to hear about trials that might be available to me.

I do hope you are still taking Afatinib and it is controlling your cancer. Best wishes
