Hi,
Sorry it took them so long to diagnose you, it took a relatively short time to diagnose me, 18 years. I have tried numerous different medicinal combinations, I found I was allergic to amitryptiline too. I was moved on to Imipramine - I take it try to improve my sleep - and at the levels I take it I can deal with this. I have never been put on Gabapentin, I was put on Prebabalin, which does help. I am also on Solpodol, Naproxen (although I was on Diclofenac which was better than Naproxen but I am now also a diabetic so had to come off it) and Diphenhydramine Hydrochloride (also for sleep), which combined help a lot. I tried Oramorph, it did nothing, neither did Tramadol apart from getting me addicted! I hope this gives you a few suggestions to try, if you haven't already.
I don't know what your sleep is like, however I have found the worse my sleep the worse the pain the next day, maybe this is an area you could work on?
Anyway, any questions, if I can help I will
