@JaneHewitt Hello JaneHewitt, thank you for creating this discussion. I think many members may also be worrying about the virus. If you haven't already seen it, we published an article that tries to address some of the questions and concerns chronic patients may have concerning the coronavirus here:
Coronavirus and Chronic Illness
And for your question concerning high blood pressure, this article may be of help: Coronavirus and Hypertension
Hello members, I hope you don't mind that I've tagged you. Are any of you also worried about COVID-19? What are you doing to protect yourself? Do you have any advice for Jane?

@JaneHewitt @Courtney_J I'm personally not too worried. i've been doing home office since the start of this so I'm already self-isolating, and I check my BG and ketones a bit more than usual in case one of my family accidentally brings it home with them. My husband does the shopping for us so I don't really have to interact with anyone outside the family.
Hope everyone is doing alright!

Hello all,
I hope you're doing well.
If you haven't seen it already, we've just published an article summarising information about COVID-19 and diabetes our Scientific Committee shared with us during their latest meeting. It's very informative and explains the current understanding of the link between diabetes and COVID-19: COVID-19 and diabetes: Interconnected pandemics?
How are you holding up in lockdown? Have any of you experienced COVID-19? If so, what kinds of symptoms did you have? How are you doing now?

Feel free to share your experiences here, your voice is important!
Take care,
Courtney

Hi, I am currently furloughed from work which is strange but as I also have to now homeschool my 2 children (9 and 4) My time is exclusively theirs to ensure they don't fall behind on their schoolwork. It is very challenging at times but at least we are all safe at home and very, very fortunate that none of us have experienced any signs of having Covid.

How is everyone now that things are returning to normalcy? Have you all had the jab? I had AstraZeneca back in March. Didn't have any problems besides a sore arm, injections haven't bothered me really since I was a girl. I've managed to negotiate staying in home office with my employer since I still don't feel 100% safe with the delta variant. Is everyone else back at work in person?

If someone of 69 has not got well controlled diabetes, and they have high blood pressure and high cholesterol, how likely would they survive covid19 if they were to get it
