Hi @Huwcymru
Thanks for sharing, I am sorry your prednisolone reduction hasn't worked out. Let me tag a few of our other members who might be able to share their experiences having BP with you. Maybe they had a similar situation.

Have you tried reducing your steroids prescription? Where are your rashes located? Are you having searing pain in your joints? Are any medications working to reduce this pain?
Let us know how you are managing your symptoms!
Take care,

@Lizzi since reducing the steroids from 4mg to 3 , from 30 initially, the joint pain started, I understand it is due to steroids having anti inflammatory properties which your body gets used to. I increased back to 4mg but I’m reluctant to start reducing again.

@Huwcymru Ah yes, I guess you're right, the body gets used to a certain level and adjusts. Maybe your right to be a bit reluctant...

My joint pain is now diagnosed as osteoporosis arthritis, which is probably age related.

I have been steadily reducing my prednisolone from 30 mg. From 4 to 3 brought on a flare up so back to 4. At present the rash is tolerable, settling mainly on my knees as small grouped blisters. This is accompanied by excruciating knee pain which I use Voltarol, CBD ointment and rarely prescription pain killers.
Anyone else experiencing this?
