I had corticosteroid injections into my hip joints also base of the spine, knees, hands, and neck and groin. They were very painful to have and the doctor just said be quiet it's all in the mind. They gave some relief for only a couple of weeks...then the pain was back again and worse. I would never have them again.

Corticosteroids are medications that can be effective in easing joint pain. One of the most known drugs of this type is prednisone.
However, corticosteroids can have serious side effects, and are therefore prescribed for a short period of time only.
Have you already been on any corticosteroids? What was the mode of administration?
Did you develop any side effects?
Was the drug effective? For how long?
Thank you in advance for answering these questions! You experience can be of use to others.
