Nebcin is indicated for the treatment of the following infections caused by susceptible micro-organisms:Central nervous system infections, including meningitis, septicaemia and neonatal sepsisGastro-intestinal infections, including peritonitis, and other significant infections such as complicated and recurrent urinary tract infections, including pyelonephritis and cystitisLower respiratory tract infections, including pneumonia, bronchopneumonia and acute bronchitisSkin, bone and soft tissue infections, including burnsNebcin may be considered in serious staphylococcal infections for which penicillin or other less potentially toxic drugs are contra-indicated and when bacterial susceptibility testing and clinical judgement indicate its use.See section 5.1 for species clinical breakpoints and prevalence of resistance of commonly susceptible bacterial species.Route of administration: Injectable
