Snap, have managed with fibromyalgia and RA for 8 years and have kept working. This is getting more and more of a struggle and I am so tired I fall asleep every night. I worry as it all takes so much effort.

I require a TKR but my work involves carrying 35 to 40kilo ladders and climbing to heights, my chosen surgeon suggests carrying this much weight will cause problems anyone got experience?

Hello @Diddyell I am sure there is someone out there with actual experience that can help you more, but in the meanwhile I want to try and help you with your question. I leave you here a link to a page where you can find a lot of info about the TKR and rehab and later consequences.... what I can tell you is that at least for the first 13 weeks it will be a total no for you to keep doing your job and later on I don't know but I say you should listen to your GP.
Here is the site http://www.healthline.com/health/total-knee-replacement-surgery/rehabilitation-timeline#ReadThisNext0
And if someone out there has more experience don't hesitate in giving your advice :)

Does the company you work for have an Occupational Health department? if yes then they will be able to advise you about lifting and your TKR. If not then your GP can refer you to the fit for work scheme
