had radical prosatectomy mid December 2016 just returned to work end of Feb 2017 work has been great about it as they had an employee have the same happen to him some years ago. Only difficulty I have had is financial with my company sick scheme only lasting one month the rest of the time have been on stat sick pay which dropped my income to about 1/3. Any way back to the grind now so fingers crossed can get my debts paid off in April.
Just had appointment at hospital for a Penile Pump, ok it works but not exactly sexy or allow for any spontaneity lol

I never even contemplated anything other than removal as what I have heard going the radiotherapy/chemo route would have meant longer off work and more disruption as it is only been off for 10 weeks and that's it done with

It's good but to be honest I have lost a lot when I lost my sex life as nothing is happening on that front been told ED tablets are not doing anything so seeing a specialist next month but the options certainly don't sound appealing, certainly the injection scenario is a total turn off so not sure what else they can offer. Incontinence seems to be increasing slightly after getting down to one pad per 24 hours sometimes need a second but am sure the extra mobility and more stressful life may be causing that. Sometimes wonder what life would have been like had I opted just to let the cancer run it's course and made the most of what time I had left. I'm going to live longer but the quality of life is pretty mediocre at the moment.
Has anyone else had these thoughts or feelings or am I just being stupid, who doesn't want to live longer right?

Here are some questions for those who continue working full time while being treated for prostate cancer.
Was your employee understanding towards your health issues? Do you get all the necessary leaves for doctor appointments, hospital visits, etc? Did your employee adjust your working schedule and reviewed your responsabilities?
Some side effects of treatments can also affect your working day like urinary problems and tiredness for example. How do you cope with that?
