No one knows your own body better that you yourself. So if celebrex suits you well and it does not upset your stomach, and as you have taken the combination of Celebrex and Co Codamol for number of years, then you have to continue with what suits you best. Celebrex suited me very well too but i did have Ranitidine with it to protect my stomach. But I do have a family history of heart disease, hence GP took me off Celebrex. I am fortunate that natural remedies suit me and i am managing well with them, particularly with Turmeric. If I give Turmeric a break, I know at once that I am in pain and not doing so well. But as soon as I start back on it, I feel a lot better with my mobility. I am intolerant to Co codamol, Ibuprofen Codeine and many other pain killers. The only ones that suits me best, are Tramadol and Amitryptilin and I only take them when the pain is unbearable
Thank you for your response and I wish you good luck

@nineteen_gale I've never tried Tramadol but my father was given it when he was dying with bladder cancer and he had the most horrendous side effects including hallucinations. I was prescribed Amitriptyline by a neurologist about 2 years ago and I took it for a few months but the only effect I got was a very dry mouth. Most unpleasant.
Thanks for your good wishes and all the best to you. Keep on doing whatever works for you.

That's right. Each one of us are individual. What works for one, does not necessarily work for others. I have no issues with Tramadol and Amitryptillin works wonders for me. It relaxes my muscles, eases nerve pain and taken at night, helps me sleep better.
Thanks for your input.

Something does not sound right. Turmeric tablets don't come in mls, but in Mg. Go you mean 250 mg? They usually come in 500 mg doses. I didn't know 250 mg existed. You also said that they have not noticed any difference. How long has she been taking it. It takes up to 6 to 12 weeks for any one to note that it is making any difference. you have to be patient, and not give it up before your body even notices the difference. I can assure you that it does make a big difference once the Turmeric gets used to being in the circulation. So all I can say is, don't despair and give up too soon. Try it at least for 3 months before you decide its not for you.

I am so glad that your daughter has noticed a great improvement in her Arthritis, the same as me. I would not stop taking Turmeric. I take it in supplement form as well as in diet. Turmeric is a miracle spice and helps many conditions other than Arthritis. Perhaps you should do more research on it from the website Turmeric for Health and consider taking it yourself if you are eligible. But please do run it by your GP.

I have Osteoporosis in My Spine, Neck and now having pain in both Hips ,Knees ,Elbows, Fingers and Shoulders

I have severe facet joint arthritis (Osteoarthritis) in my spine L5/4. I have only recently had the diagnosis, after paying for a MRI privately. I also have bulging, prolapsed discs etc and my GP kept ignoring it and telling me it was my fibromyalgia.
Anyone else have the same issues? I can't work due to the pain and had a steroid injection on 18 March 19. It has taken away my pain, temporarily. Forgot what that feels like.
I was released from work, Aug 18 due to ill health but didn't qualify for ill health retirement. X I get the lowest part of PIP. Are there any other benefits that could help me? I am 50yrs old, live in UK and would appreciate any advice.

Osteoarthritis is the most form of arthritis and it most commonly occurs in the spine, hands, hips, knees and spine.
Where does your osteoarthritis affect you? Is it just one location or several?
Please let us know and share your experiences:)
