Hi @sodowninsurrey
Welcome back! I'm sorry you were sad on your holiday! Often times when we are depressed, our body looks for ways to pull us down deeper and stay sad. Let me tag a few other members who may be able to relate and also share their experiences.

Have you been depressed on holiday? Were you able to get out of it? How? What do you say to your travel partners?
Please share an experience to let sodowninsurrey know they are not alone!

You can practice mindfulness: One technique that may be helpful is to practice mindfulness. This involves focusing on the present moment and being fully engaged with your surroundings. When you find yourself feeling sad or depressed, try to redirect your attention to what is happening around you. Notice the sights, sounds, and smells, and try to immerse yourself in the experience.

Hello,
I was on holiday with my family, in the most beautiful of places, Nice, France, and I was so sad and depressed. I hate that depression is so uncontrollable and can hit you at any time. We were walking along the promenade, I was with my loved one, the weather was perfect. I even started to cry. I was crying because it was such a nice moment that my brain was making bad. Why was I not having a good time. Everything was so nice and I was sad, depressed, and realizing this made me even more depressed.
How does someone stop getting more sad and just enjoy the moment?
