Hi, sorry for not replying b4 now. I don't really know how to use this site and haven't been on for ages!.....my breast cancer diagnosis came about after I developed Ptosis in my left eye, original ct scans though it was lymphoma, but had to get eye biopsy which unfortunately revealed that the mass behind my eye was from a BC cell, so it had metastisized to behind my eye. I'm on letrozole at moment and seems to be keeping it stable and now showing in any on my other organs.
thank you for your interest.

Hi I found my lump in June and the doctors were great I was at the hospital every day for 3weeks having tests I had surgery to remove some of my lymph nodes which thankfully came back clear . I should have had a lumpectomy at the same time but they decided at few days before that it was best to have chemo before having the lumpectomy due to a drug only being able to be licensed to have before the surgery . I was devastated to learn I needed chemo but have come to terms with it now and have just had my 6th session I’m not eating very well and lost a stone in weight in 10 days so was really worried but picked up the last week before this session so was able to put some weight on thankfully. I have also got 3 weeks of radiotherapy. On the positive side though is that it’s working and I feel positive and think it’s a crap year of treatment in one way or another but hopefully I will have many more years left to live my life

Knitter - you are doing well. As you say the treatment is not nice but if that saves your life- then you do it. I always think how almost innocent you are before you find you have a problem. After treatment you go back to living a reasonably normal life- I hope- but the stuff you have gone through changes how your live your life.

Hi waterford48, the radiotherapy will be fine, I had 5 days a week for 5 weeks. You might feel a bit tired but keep your spirits up. It's only natural to feel down, it's all part of it and the medication doesn't help matters, but they say it gets better. Thinking of you.

Hi I have triple negative breast cancer. I’m living in the moment and making sure to enjoy every day of my life. Diagnosed on 2nd Oct 2015. Chemo, double mastectomy, residual cancer found, 6.5 more months of chemo, 25 sessions radiotherapy. I’ve taken early retirement and make sure my life is filled with colour, fun, travel and laughter. I do get low but I have found meditation helps a lot. :) xx

Hi Lainey I have had triple negative too . I found the lump- had a lumpectomy and followed this by six rounds of chemotherapy. Then I had three weeks of radiotherapy. Now because it Is TNBC I have no other treatment apart from yearly mamograms . The treatment was long and tiring and the fact that you are not on tablets is worrying in itself. I try to enjoy life but you never forget entirely. Have you been given any advice on diet or lifestyle or any other medical treatment? Keep strong and all best wishes on keeping healthy. I have been ok now for the last few years and long may it continue- I hope the same is for you!
