Might sound stupid but chewing gum while bursting the bubbles of the bubble wrap and listening to Passenger does the trick for me. What are you anxious about???

Never tried chewing gum or bubble wrap - thanks!!
I'm anxious abt anything happening 2 my children!!
I cannot take them anywhere on my own incase something happens.
It's like situational anxiety!!
I can cope on my own with them in the house but as soon as I need to take them anywhere outwith the house I'm overcome with this irrational fear that they are going to get hurt and I'm not going to be able to deal/cope with the injuries!!!

That doesn't sound good, I am sorry! :(And did this happened cause you had a bad experience and you don't want it to repeat? Cause my pshrink always makes me do memory excersices to go back on situations and think why it originated and think if the situation was actually sth I could have prevented or it simply was something it was meant to happen and just try to get over and go on with my life. I hope I'm not intruding much but I think that you can try thinking that if you don't overcome your fear it is not fair for your kids to not be abe to go out with their mummy that loves them so much, and I always tell my parents when they worry that I can't live in a bubble, that won't help me for facing the world alone.
Have you gone to a psicologist or sth? I really hope yo can get over that so you can feel better. If you need to talk to someone I am here :)

These work with panic & anxiety IMO
Using the self check out in supermarkets is a way of keeping in control, as it avoids interaction with people, if you know you are feeling bad that day.
Having bus change/ticket ready in hand when getting on a bus to avoid purse/wallet fluster with people behind you.
Carrying shopping bags while waiting in a cue, or squeezing a key chain or coin in pocket distracts brain from visual senses to feely ones which can help if hyper sensitive.
Thinking of your pet waiting at home wanting their treats - as soon as you get the stressful thing done.
