My husband and myself haven not been out of the house since 16th March, other than a walk in the fields behind our house, where we met on one at all and saw little point in wearing a mask in the open field with no human contact. My husband is Asthmatic with COPD, and other health issues so he is classed at extremely vulnerable and at high risk. Hence I had shield myself too, because I would not like to put him at risk. So we both stayed in the whole time since lock down, no doctors or hospital appointments as they were all telephone consultations, no shopping or any face contact with any one. We had no visitors and did not allow any one to come into the house. Now that the lock down is finishing on 1st Aug. we are very worried and nervous about exposing to the big wide world after 4 and a half month of being shielded. I ordered a pack of 3 washable masks a month ago from Easy life but they have not yet arrived. i sent them 3 emails but they are not replying. I can not get to speak to any one for either a refund or to ask about my order. I have now ordered a box of 50 grade 3 from Kinetic. I did not realize that my order was timed out and so didn't go through. So yesterday I ordered them again. They have promised me a delivery in 3 days. Will see if they arrive in a couple of days now. Having worked as an operating theater sister in the NHS, I am used to wearing mask for long hours, but not sure how my husband will cope with it being an Asthmatic and COPD. For a while, I am going to continue with the on line shopping as i do not suddenly want to expose ourselves to the shops and people, but soon, will have to attend medical appointments, as they have been shelved since the lock down. I need a few electrical house hold things which I like to see, handle, talk to the shop assistant before purchase, so will have to venture out for that. Also worried about letting the hair dresser come to the house to cut our hair as nearly 5 months without a cut is a very long time.

I received my reusable masks from Easy Life today. They are of extremely poor quality. Very thin, with no nose clip They were £1.99 and delivery charge £6.99. I waited for over 4 weeks since I ordered and i am disgusted with the quality. You are supposed to wash them in 60 degrees. These wont withstand high temperature and the colour will run too. Sheer waste of my £20.00. Luckily, I ordered a box of 50 disposable ones from a reputable company and they are much better and waterproof too

@nineteen_gale So sorry to hear about the quality of the masks. Send in a complaint about your total dissatisfaction!
People are now taking advantage regarding the cost and sale of masks which is expected.

Thanks Lesley. I can not be bothered about it, as they do not answer the phone and neither emails. I will just have to swallow the bitter pill and hope that they will be of some use.

Can anyone recommend really good ones. The ones that you can actually breathe through. I don’t mind wearing them at all but breathing problems and being a woman of a certain age, I perspire something wicked and it does n’t give me the heart to want to go out.

Hello everyone,
I hope you're doing well.
As the discussions continue on the end of the COVID-19 lockdown and social distancing measures, you may have some questions about the use of protective face masks.
We've made a little guide to help us all learn how to properly use and wear a mask! Take a look at it below!
Have you been able to obtain any masks for you and your loved ones? Where did you find them? Do you currently or are you planning on using them every time you go out?
Feel free to share with us here! We're here to help on another, especially in this time of public health crisis.
Take care,
Courtney
