My heart goes out to children of any age, who suffer with Depression. I've posted elsewhere on here about children with depression, 'self esteem', etc.
Its NOT the childrens fault. I put it squarely at the feet of the parent/s. Single or not, Parent/s, in their brokeness, should try to show as much love to their children.
The difficulty may be that as parents, we may not have been shown or given appropriate love, affection or attention, or it may well be a generational curse.
I would recommend parent seek out and learn how to show their children appropriate affection and love.
I would recommend a book 'The 5 Love Languages of children'.
