@Elk217015 Why not try a mobility scooter, get out to the shops and park etc., there is also clubs and centres you can visit go for a meal or simply coffee. Check out your council as they have lists normally of events and meets. While mobile you can also vist pubs, cafe's etc., just watching the world around will give you a sense of belonging. Loneliness is created by the person while trying to feel safe away from the world, break away and go play, you might enjoy it. Saying that I like the isolation but I have a family living with me but at this late stage I opted to take on responsibility of a child, no regrets but no peace either. I do have a static in Norfolk where we spent many years as a couple only, but we did experience the holiday spirit of everyone round us on their hols. Just some simple ideas you might like to try or there is the internet to develop friends at a respectable distance.
Good luck!

Hello everyone,
How are you today?
Having a chronic illness can often be an isolating experience - you may not have the energy to socialise, others may not understand what you are going through and you may feel alienated and alone.
I thought I would open this discussion as a place for us all to come together, regardless of our condition(s), to support one another and chat! Let's use this space to talk about anything and everything - share your mood, your story, your ups and downs and your support!
So, how are you doing today? Do you ever feel lonely in your illness? How do you cope? What has made you smile today? Do you have any hobbies or activities that bring you joy? Do you have anything you want to share with the community?
Feel free to share with us here!
Take care,
Courtney
