Have just been prescribed "Nefopam" to help with my fibro pain. Anyone find this effective? I've recently come off "Amitriptyline" and now take "Citalopram" to help with anxiety and "Diazepam" for sleep but want something better as I just can't drop off. Any recommendations? I also take "Solpadol" and paracetamol which I believe can be taken with "Nefopam". I have tried "Tramadol", "Lyrica" and "Gabapentin" but none of those helped and just made me feel ill and a bit out of it.

@Beyondwords_uk Hello Beyondwords_uk, thank you for your comment. By the way, there is a fact sheet for Nefopam, feel free to leave an opinion on your treatment.
Take care,
Michael

I’m 68 I have osteoarthritis and ulcerative colitis and unsure if I’m in the vulnerable group. does anyone know if I am? Currently I have cold like symptoms; stuffy nose, a dry cough, slight headache, sore joints in shoulders and a slight upper respiratory tight chest and feel very tired. As a precaution I have decided to self isolate Just in case.
I went to stay in Spain with my partner, from 18th to 26th December 2019, to visit my son who works at an international school. he is a music teacher and organised the whole school to perform an Xmas show. Hundreds of parents, from all over the world, attended. Within a few days we caught a virus, including my son. The symptoms were exactly the same as those described by the corona virus (no one was even aware of Covid 19 at that time). the worst was the dry cough and temperature we both had that would last for hours and we couldn’t sleep. We came home and saw the doctor who said it was just a virus and to take paracetamol. It actually lasted about 35 days before we started to recover. we now know we could have had SARS or even corona virus without knowing. We are so confused and unable to see doctor anymore and do not know who to talk to or what to do. Can anyone help please?

Hi beaky123 I'm afraid you are unlikely to get an answer directly to your question. I've been on this site for a few years and tried to get direct advice. It seems to be some of self help group with a few either standard NHS messages repackaged or occasional topic statement that suits the moment ie Corona virus. You are asked to update their surveys but rarely receive any analysis from them. I suffer with my bowel as well and asked a direct question eg am I in vulnerable group. Still no reply other than one from one of the group who said my question was rude. Ridiculous

Dear members,
I am delighted to announce that Carenity has added new and improved features to our medications unit, which you can find here: My medications. You can still add, evaluate and comment on your medications, but we have revamped the layout and added special features for ease of use.
Evaluating a Medication
We have updated how you can evaluate your medications. Instead of it being represented just by numers, we have changed our icons to make it easier to assess and review. You can evaluate your medications through several different criterias; effectiveness, ease of use, adherance to prescription, side effects, improvement in quality of life and general satisfaction.
You can see how other members have rated the medication and give advice about treatment to others! Useful? We think so too... :)
Additional Medication Information
Assess Medication Visually
We have changed how you can view the overall rating of a medication. We have added a concise and neat summary of each medication where you can quickly discern how others have rated it. This gives you the opportunity to learn how others have reacted to certain treatments and to discuss the different side effects or reactions that you have had.
------------------
We hope that you will find this updated medications unit useful and will be visiting “My medications” page from time to time to share your own experience in order to help others, and to learn more about your current or future treatments.
If you have any questions or need help with this new section, please feel free to contact me!
