Hi, wondering has anyone heard of charcot ankle? It affects some 10% of diabetics where ankle bones get deformed and the foot slowly migrates so the ankle bends away and you may eventually walk on your ankles! Went to podiatrist who measured me to have a "Arizona boot" made to help halt this bending. Apparently there is no cure ((except possibly surgery)) except halting the progression.

Hi Michael,
I'm sophiesmum. I'm 37 and I live with fiancé and my mum. My fiancé isn't my daughters father as she's 17 and me n my fiancé have only been together for nearly 6 years.
I joined carenity to find out more information about my health problems and osteoarthritis as my mum has it as she was diagnosed with osteoarthritis when my brother was a baby (my brother's 28 now).
I have depression and PCOS. I also have asthma.
I have 2 sisters and a brother who are all younger than me.
I also wanted to find out more information about dyslexia as my fiancé's dyslexic.
I'm also looking for information about a couple of other medical conditions which affect mine and my fiancé's families.

Hello @sophiesmum,
Thank you for your message! I hope you're finding the support and information you need here on the forums. It would appear that we don't have much information on dyslexia, but maybe some of the other members living with that condition could chip in?
Take care,
Michael

Hello members,
Over the last year I have really enjoyed being your Community Manager. You have all inspired me with your stories of strength facing your different conditions and you have opened my mind through reading your discussions.
It is with a heavy heart that I say goodbye to you all. I wish you all the very best going forward and I hope you all continue using Carenity and finding it a useful support tool.
It’s my pleasure to introduce Michael who will be moderating the UK forum from here on out. Be sure to give him a hearty welcome and don’t hesitate to contact him with your questions or concerns.
Much love,
Josephine
