NAFLD/NASH and skin changes: Yellowing, dark spots or dryness?

Living with NAFLD or NASH can bring about symptoms that we may not expect, and one area that’s often affected is our skin. Some members of our community have noticed changes like yellowing of the skin (jaundice), dark patches or spots, dryness, or even persistent itchiness in certain areas. These symptoms can sometimes signal liver changes and may be linked to how the liver processes and eliminates toxins.

Have you noticed any skin-related symptoms since your diagnosis? How do you manage or treat them, and has your doctor recommended any specific care routines? Are there particular lotions, diet changes, or skincare products that have helped ease your symptoms?
