My sister had it in mid November and it was odd because she had just been tested for a work thing and it had come back negative. Then about a week later she started feeling under the weather and had a horrendous cough. She isolated and did a home test which of course came back positive! It took her a few weeks to be back on her feet, but still today she deals with the after effects.

I had it in October 2020. @keiraH You must have gotten it right at the beginning! That must have been frightening seeing as we didn't know as much about it back them! Glad to hear you're alright!

I had covid in September 2020. Although I initially produced a negative test my GP was adamant I had covid & involved HPS, who agreed it was covid. Turns out I am crap at doing tests. Having since had a covid test done in hospital I can confirm that I didn’t do “that” to myself 😫. It wasn’t fun but I managed to stay at home & not be hospitalised. I was isolated for 20 days as my temp remained high, cough was horrible, crashing headache & taste affected & ill for many weeks more. No sooner would one symptom seem to subside another would take its place. I felt like I was going mad. I was formally diagnosed with long covid, postural hypotension & a heart murmur in April 2021 by one of the top infections diseases professors in Scotland. If anyone in Scotland needs a Specialist who knows what they are talking about Prof Tom Evans is the one. My job is not compatible with my ongoing symptoms- blood pressure dropping suddenly so I need to sit down before I pass out, poor balance & coordination, poor memory & concentration, brain fog, mixing up my words, extreme fatigue, sleep disturbance & excessive sleepiness, etc, so they are looking at ill health retirement for me. It’s all pretty crap tbh but I believe it is the correct decision for my role & responsiblities.
