I work in IT so I was put in home office when everything first started. I suppose one of the benefits of a desk job is that I get to stay still most of the day so my biggest symptom, breathing issues, isn't so much of a problem. If I had to be going up and down stairs at the office I don't think I'd make it. I've been feeling frustrated and down since I've had it because the symptoms just won't go away, but other than mood issues and my breathing it hasn't really had an impact for me.

Hi, last year when the first pandemic started I was diagnosed with it. It took me about 4 months to be able to do anything except sleep. The illness has left me with long Covid syndrome and it doesn’t look like it is getting any better. We haven’t had many cases near where I live and only one death. As I live in. a retirement flat with 40 other people we have all been very lucky. It was only myself that had the disease. My GP doesn’t know what to give me in medication to help me. I do have other illnesses, fibromyalgia, poly rheumatoid arthritis, sever asthma to say but a few. The medication I M on for my diagnosis is not doing any good for the long Covid. Just wondered what everyone else might be taking and whether it is working for them!!

Here in Ireland, we have the longest lockdown in the world but allowing people from Brazil to work in our meat factories for slave wages without any quartine. Our health care system had closed down all other care and diagnostic facilities Cancer is the number one killer of people in Ireland, heart disease is number 2. I do not know of anyone that died of covid but know plenty of people who have died of cancer. MY mother - in - law was buried on Good Friday after she got the second vaccine she was in the hospital and was moved back to care home and never recovered. When offered the vaccine I will refuse it, we have continued to meet family and friends.

@Griffin Just curious, has your Dr tried Hydroxychloroquine or Ivermectin? Both have been known to cure Covid! I would maybe ask your PCP/GP for them under the "right to try" act.
Stay safe and well.

@whitecross1955 Sorry to hear about your MIL! My condolences. I totally agree with you. This is NOT a vaccine, its experimental. I have done a LOT of research on it, and wish other people would too before they allow this poison to be injected into their bodies! I feel the media has totally blown all of it out of proportion! I will not get this so called "vaccine" either!!
Stay safe and well!

@Griffin I found through all my research, that Vitamin D, vitamin C, and Zinc are what a lot of doctors are saying to take. My husband and I started taking these along with our regular multi vitamins and have been just fine. Neither of us are getting the so called "vaccine" and wont be. Hope this helps.
Stay safe and well!

Hello all,
How are you holding up?
Heart problems, joint pain, neurological "glitches", memory problems, recurrent fever... These are all symptoms listed by people with Long Covid (i.e. COVID-19 symptoms that last more than 20 days). Many patients are then unable to work. However, this condition is not yet recognised as an "illness".
The NHS has launched 40 'long COVID' clinics at the end of November to bring together doctors, nurses, therapists and other NHS staff to fight Long COVID, which is thought to affect more than 60,000 people across the UK.
And what about you? Have you been able to return to work? If so, how are you coping at work, is it difficult? If not, are you on sick leave? What are the current regulations for patients?
Feel free to share your experiences and thoughts in the comments below, your voice and experiences are important to us all!
Take care,
Courtney
