I have non alcoholic fatty liver disease, and during an CT scan they discovered that I have some enlarged lymph glands in my abdominal cavity near my liver, but are unsure what's causing it. I am due to have a gynae biopsy and camera soon as my endometrial lining is thicker than they'd like (it should be 4mm or less postmenopausal, mines 8mm), so if my gynae tests come back clear, then they will have to look elsewhere for the cause of the enlarged lymph glands.

When I was in hospital recently I was told that I could have liver disease because of all the antibiotics that the hospital was giving me I wont know for certain what as caused this as I do have gaul stones but because I wasnt in any pain they was not going to operate they would operate if I was in a lot of pain ,I have just had more blood tests taken at the surgery and now I have to go back and have the 2nd part of my m o t have to take a water sample with me my blood pressure was ok but now have to check everything else apparently I was told that I hadn't of been checked since 20017 so maybe if they had checked before they might of found my breast cancer earlier instead of waiting to have a ct scan in 20018 because of a chest infection that was getting worse ,also I am going to have a flu jab and my husband is having one to ,still have this horrible cough last night was sick again it seems as though everytime I have a salad I get sick so I dont know what is causing it I suppose I should tell them when I go to surgery next week ,there is always something that goes contrary on me well I will just have to wait for my results

I have nafld and a large tumour in my liver. Ultrasound, mri and triple ct with iodine and they are still telling me they dont know if its malignant or benign! They offered me a ultrasound in 6 months, 12 months and 2 years, if it hasn't changed, they will then say its benign, if of course I am not dead! It took my daughter kicking off to eventually get gp to refer me to liver specialist but unlike all the scans, refused to refer under 2 week rule. I have an appointment for 3 months time, finding this all unbelievable, anybody else had similar?

Before I was officially diagnosed with NASH the Liver Specialist reckoned it was Fatty Liver (NAFLD) which is quite common with Type 2 Diabetics.
So after Ultrasound Scan, MRI Scan with Contrast, Fibroscan and finally a Liver Biopsy the diagnoses was changed to Non Alcoholic Steato-hepatitis and he added I have Fibrosis of my Liver. If I did not "correct" my diet and lose weight I would end up needing a Liver Transplant. = Talk about Shock Tactics!!!
I occasionally have a G & T or glass of Red Wine, My diet is 90% Vegetarian.
Have since lost weight and now I am 12 stone 8 lb, take daily Omega Oil capsule and Vitamin E capsule, of course with the Liver Specialist approval. And my recent Liver Blood Tests are well below the recommended 50.

There are around 100 different diseases that affect the liver. Among the most common of them are:
- Alcohol-related liver disease
- Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease
- Hepatitis
- Haemochromatosis
- Primary biliary cirrhosis
Are you affected by any of these conditions? What symptoms do you have and what treatment do you get?
