@Somya.P I think large intakes of fibre, through e.g. prunes help a lot
Fibre also has the positive side effect that it triggers satiety quickly

Hello everyone, how are you doing?
A recent study suggests that cutting back on sugar and starch could improve IBS symptoms just as effectively as the more complex Low FODMAP diet. The starch and sucrose-reduced diet (SSRD) showed similar symptom relief, with added benefits like weight loss and reduced sugar cravings.
The SSRD diet focuses on eating fewer sugary and starchy foods while avoiding processed items, offering a simpler alternative to the strict rules of the Low FODMAP diet. Researchers noted that while both approaches helped around 75-80% of participants, SSRD was easier to follow and more adaptable for daily life.
For those with IBS: Would a simpler approach like reducing sugar and starch appeal to you? What has worked (or not worked) for you when it comes to diet and IBS?
