Hello all,

I haven't been on in a while since I've been busy, but with this coronavirus business I've become a bit worried. Since the virus is so hard on the respiratory system I'm worried that my inhalers (I'm on Ventolin and Qvar) are putting me at a greater risk. Do you think we should cut down our use of them? Especially the Qvar? I've heard that steroids really do a number on the immune system. Does anyone have any thoughts or advice?

Thanks.

Hi all.

I am asthmatic & self isolating & being furloughed from work. I am a key worker & work in supported living. Due to me having underlying health issues I am on the 12 weeks self isolation. Work have been very good about me able to do this. I have been quite bad with a respiratory infection for the first 2 weeks of self isolation... now I am in my 5th week my asthma has started up again thankfully my inhalers are working.  Are there any others out there who are self isolating

I use seretide 250 preventative inhaler morning and night but didn’t get a letter to isolate. I work in a nursing home  so have very close contact with residents who have Covid 19. Some staff have left and some are off sick with it. I can’t stay at home. Recently they made it compulsory to wear a mask for the whole shift of 12 hours. This is causing an issue with my asthma. It’s like being suffocated and is very claustophobic . This is making my job harder but I know I have to wear one for protection of us and the residents

Surely if their was a risk it would be slot less. Having them than without? I definitely couldn’t stop any of my medication without ending up in hospital

Hi I'm on Fostair and Salbutamol for my asthma I'm also on Montelukast at nigh.   I've got hay fever and currently feeling a bit tight chested with what feels like a itchy/burning throat which makes me want to cough.  I had a call from the GP who as issued me with steroids I then had a call from a Covid nurse who said it sounds like allergies.   but I'm extremely on edge about all this I was diagnosed with server anxiety when my husband passed away just over 18 moths ago it's that is now the worse it's been in a while is there anything I can do to manage my anxiety.

Thanks Kelly.

I'm off work for 12 weeks due to asthma and chronic kidney disease also the fact I've been classed as vunerable category I too have had panic attacks and now have tablets for that plus my hay fever is awful at the moment and my asthama worse, I am so afraid of going back to work in a supermarket, how do we stand after 12 weeks do I have to go back

Thank you

Sandra

If you are concerned about the pandemic coronavirus and if you deal with asthma, then you would probably know that your respiratory illness may make you more susceptible to get contracted with the new virus. The coronavirus disease attacks the respiratory system; worsen your asthma symptoms such as breathing problems. This is why asthma patients are strictly advised to take regular medications as instructed by their physicians. It is worth using Ventolin inhaler online at the time of the pandemic. Get Ventolin online from [link removed by Community Manager for violation of community standards] to reduce the risk of an asthma attack triggered by the new virus.
