Schizophrenia
People with schizophrenia have hallucinations, delusions, changes in behavior and muddled thoughts because of the hallucinations or delusions. None the less, they seem perfectly fine most of the time until they talk about what they are thinking, because they might not make sense to others.
If you are a schizophrenic you should know that you are not alone. The WHO estimates that 1% of the world population suffers from schizophrenia.
The schizophrenia and me
People with schizophrenia can have difficulty holding a job or caring for themselves, so they rely on others for help. Treatment helps relieve many symptoms, but most people who have the disorder cope with the symptoms throughout their lives.
Sharing with other patients can allow you to feel better, exchange advice and most of all feel less alone. Without forgetting that taking your medicines is a key factor.
