@KPangela Hello,
Sorry to hear about your cataracts and I see that you have already commented on the fact sheet, but for other members who are reading this and unaware, we have a medications unit where you can evaluate and discuss treatments with other members. To access the sheet about hydroxychloroquine, just click HERE.
Have any other members experienced this side effect from steroids? Do you have any advice? Please share :)

Having recently been diagnosed with a cataract in my left eye caused by long-term steroid use I wondered if anybody else has experienced this and do people know about this??
I have also been on hydroxychloroquine long term and have always had yearly eye tests as advised by my rheumatologist, however being informed that my cataract was caused not by this drug but by steroids I was shocked. I've always been aware that long-term steroid use isn't advised but never been informed as to why until now!
Any feedback is very much appreciated. K
