Hi. As someone quite recently diagnosed, I have not commenced to take any Disease Modifying Drugs. I plan to start on Tecfidera, which will hopefully be available in England by the end of November 2014.
In regard to supplements, I take the following: 5,000-10,000 IU vitamin D3, Vitamin B Complex plus additional B12 in liquid form, Omega 3 Fish oil and/or up to 20 grams daily flaxseed oil, Turmeric tablets, Vitamin C.
In addition to supplements, I follow the Overcoming Multiple Sclerosis program developed by Professor George Jelinek (whom is also diagnosed with MS). It is a contemporary and expanded program that stems from the notions of the swank diet. In short, it is a plant based low saturated fat diet that promotes seafood consumption at least three times a week (vegan plus seafood diet). Complimentary to the diet and in a holistic manner, I exercise 20-30 minutes x 5 days a week, meditate 30 minutes 6 days a week, ensure that vitamin D levels are between 150-225 nmol/L and consume seafood at least 3 times a week for omega 3 - in which I also take flaxseed oil or fish oil supplements.

Hello everyone,
There are many ways in which you can help your body fight MS. The most common is taking supplements and vitamins such as vitamin D, Omega 3, vitamin B12. Do you take any supplements to stay on top of things?
Please feel free to share any suggestions here.
All the best,
Marina
