I'm on Letrozole for 5 or 10 years, I started it in December.

Hi everyone,
How are you feeling today? 🙂
Hormone therapy can be used if the examination shows that the tumor has hormone receptors and that its development is therefore stimulated by female sex hormones. There are two types of drugs that can slow down or block the action of these hormones:
- Anti-estrogens: They attach themselves to the surface of cancer cells, on the receptors normally occupied by estrogens;
- Aromatase inhibitors: They block the transformation (aromatization) of male hormones (androgens) from the adrenal gland into estrogen in fatty tissue and tumors. These drugs are used in postmenopausal women.
Have any of you been or are you on hormone therapy?
