@ZoeLara Hello ZoeLara, thank you for starting this discussion. I'm sorry your sister is going through that, that must be painful. I think many patients worry about prolonged use of antibiotics. Let me tag some members who may have some experience with this.
Hello all, I hope you're doing well! Have any of you experienced recurring rash with your RA? Have you been on long-term antibiotics to treat it? Are you concerned about the impact of prolonged use of antibiotics on your health or immune system? Can you share any advice? Feel free to share your experience here!

@ZoeLara Hi Zoe, is you sister's a topical antibiotic like a cream, or is it a tablet? I believe my doctor told me that there less risk of side effects or having immune with topicals than with tablets

My sister has RA, is on Metetroxete for some years and doing well apart from reoccurring rash on legs which becomes infected and needs antibiotics to clear. Concerned 're taking antibiotics often.
Would appreciate any one else's experience with this please?
