I have been suffering for over 15 years now with no clear diagnosis. This has been because my blood does not show any significant rise in inflammation markers. You so I am just bumbling along. I have been diagnosed with the following: Fibromyalgia, Hughes syndrome, Sjogrens. And chronic pain syndrome I am sure I have RA or even PsA.

I have been ill for 15 years and have seen many rheumatologists and neurologists over the course. I stopped going to my doctors because I felt like a fraud and bought over the counter anti inflammatory and pain killers and have been suffering in a great deal,of pain
i had a mini stroke before Christmas last year and the doctors tested me for Lyme disease which was weakly positive and now I have a high rheumatoid factor showing up
i am having a massive flare up at the moment but I expect I will have to wait for ages for Rheumatology appointment. I am going around the houses with doctors but am not at this moment in time getting any treatment. I can hardly work at the moment and finding that housework and small jobs are getting increasingly worse for me to do
I am getting increasingly worse over the last couple of weeks

Hello everyone,
How are you today? Have you seen this older discussion?
What prompted you to seek help for rheumatoid arthritis? What was your diagnosis experience like? Were you able to receive all the necessary information about the disease from your rheumatologist?

There is not specific test which can help diagnose Rheumatoid Arthritis. The diagnosis is established based on a host of data collected through symptoms observation, symptoms history, and various tests and exams.
This why it can sometimes take a medical team up to several months to make sure the patient does suffer with Rheumatoid arthritis.
In your case, how long did it take you to get a diagnosis?
