My brother had the op and enjoyed the tinned tomato diet post operation. Worked for a period and did lose weight but long term post surgery the weight gain and back to his norms. I on the other are going through tablet route of Semaglutide, a tablet form of Ozempic, lost over a stone and my blood sugars brilliant. As my brother progressed towards injecting I have continued pill control, a lot of them but just pills. So looking at costs, it seems the Ozempic pill/injection route perhaps the better option in the first place. But then again long term will require life changing food options!

Hello everyone! 😊
Bariatric surgery is an option for some people living with severe obesity or obesity complicated by other health conditions. It’s generally recommended for:
✔️ Those with a BMI ≥ 40 kg/m²
✔️ Those with a BMI between 35 and 40 kg/m² with related conditions (e.g., diabetes, hypertension, severe asthma)
✔️ Those with a BMI between 30 and 35 kg/m² with poorly controlled type 2 diabetes
This procedure requires strict medical follow-up and a multidisciplinary approach to ensure the best outcomes.
