@Courtney_J We're not completely sure because Crohn's wasn't as known back them as it is today, but we think my nan may have had it. She passed when I was still young so I don't have memories of her struggling with it, by my mum tells me how she'd have to be careful about what she'd eat and sometime she'd be very ill.
It's interesting to me that it may be hereditary, but maybe not. I think if I had been better in maths I would have loved to study genetics!

Hi all,
How are you today? I thought I would create this discussion as it may be interesting for us to share!
Both genetic and environmental factors have been found to play a role in the chances of developing Crohn's disease.
Have you found the same to be true within your family? Does anyone else in your family have Crohn's? Or are you the first to be diagnosed?
