While your treatment for cancer is going on, exercise is the last thing on your mind. Massive weight loss, tiredness, painful treatment, lack of appetite, weakness caused by radiation sickness by whatever form they choose to torture you with. No, exercise is the last thing on you mind, surviving is your major concern and avoiding hospital stays. You are far to sick to do anything which includes a long period afterwards.
But certainly as a survivor with your muscles damaged almost beyond repair yes their is plenty of exercise to hopefully rebuild them. If not you will remain weak but where radiation has passed through bone and muscle it may kill them. I now have a dead jaw bone if damaged will never repair. Blood vessels that shrank away from tussie area causing permanent damage for life as was the destruction of Lympth nodes etc. The biggest issue was teeth infections eventually leading to many teeth being removed which had to be done in hospital. There are many symptoms I am left to live with for the rest of my life, but I am alive.
So, to conclude there are important exercises to do well after treatment ends and you NHS team will advise you best how to do this and reduce your problems. Take their advice as they are well aware of the long term effects and how to reduce them!

Hello everyone! How are you feeling?
I decided to start this discussion today to talk about the importance of physical activity when dealing with cancer. Often it can be very difficult to stay active or find the right program that respects your limitations and goals.Β π₯
