Hi.I'm new to group. I received my diagnosis on Feb 15th, after consulting doctor after a friendwas discussing a programme on breast cancer and mentioned dimpling of the breast. As I had noticed this myself, but thought due to my weight loss, I consulted my GPS and was referred to cancer hospital. I was initially told it would be a lumpectomy and lymph node removal, however was recalled day before expected operation and informed CT results confirmed Stage 4 and bone mets in pelvis, spine, shoulder, sternum. I'm now 6 months on and having letrozole and 4 weekly Zometa with 4 monthly MRI scans. Initially I dealt with it well, however struggling with it now . Appointed breast care nurse hasn't contacted me at all so struggle with no point of contact. Hoping info on this forum will help.
