We have to have them in Wales too. We recently travelled to Spain and needed it in order to travel. It made me feel safer travelling knowing that everyone I came into contact with had to have the same proof and was double vaccinated.

@lesmal @Hippymum I heard they're coming into place this week in England. I'm relieved honestly like you are. My sister went to France on holiday in September and had to have one and after getting it set up it really wasn't difficult to use. I don't go into crowded spaces anymore with my age and my lymphoma, but I'll be trying to get the app set up when I see my daughter next. I think it'll take some adjustment for some of us, but lockdowns and masks took adjustments and look how we are now. It's just a matter of getting used to it. And if it keeps up safer I'm all for it. xx

@Hippymum and @GinaLymph ... Thank you so much for your comments. I've managed to obtain Covid certificates for both my husband and I through the Covid NI app. One has to go through the verification process initially, but once set up it's simple and makes me feel a lot safer.
My husband and I don't go to nightclubs and/or large events often, but it gives me peace of mind knowing we have the documentation in place.
We continue to abide by the rules of wearing masks on public transport, and in shopping centres as required.
Luckily, we've both had our Covid booster which gives us more protection.
Wishing you a great day. Stay safe and healthy!

Good day,
I hope everyone is staying safe and healthy.
In Northern Ireland we currently have to apply for Covid Certificates as proof for travel and domestic use, ie nightclubs, conferences, large events and more. These can be applied for electronically through an app, or one can get a paper version if one doesn't have access to a mobile phone etc. At the moment they are valid for a 3 month period, then renew automatically on the app or one has to obviously renew the paper version.
I wondered what everyone's view is on this subject, and look forward to receiving your feedback.
I'm pleased I've now had both covid vaccinations and my covid booster; no regrets.
Stay well.
