Thanks for the info @GildaT I honestly think that we have some good things going on but there is still a long way to go if we talk about Access to all the life areas, but I really hope it arrives one day that we are totally included.

Hi There, My wife has had MS for 20 years and over that time I have found out that there is help/funding everywhere, but there is no central location that holds all the information. It has become a full time job getting help/assistance, but we manage, always check information received third hand. A case in point, I was told that I couldn't get attendant allowance as I earned too much (pension wise), but on checking the GOV web site the first question asked was "are you employed" I therefore lost out on 3 years attendant allowance, so be very careful.

As every year World MS Day has arrived and it has a new theme. This year’s theme is “Access”. What does this mean? It means that we want to create awareness about access needs of people with MS. This not only means physical access to facilities, it means having access to the same tools as everyone else, like diagnosis, treatment and support; access to leisure, education, training and employment. So in general what this intends is that people with MS has access to a social, political and economic life.
To learn more about all the proposals and demands we invite you to check the site dedicated to this day and let us now down here what you think about. Remember that we love to hear your opinion!
All the best,
Gilda
