With me having a rare recurring incurable cancer there's not many "quotes" that help. Like, it will pass, things will get better etc don't really cut it when you know it won't, so for me on my bad days it's the beautiful faces of my granddaughters and their love for me that always lift my spirits

Hi @Dizzle,
I understand where you’re coming from. A lot of times, those typical uplifting quotes don’t resonate with the reality of your situation. But how beautiful that your granddaughters and their love give you strength and brighten those difficult days! It’s a reminder that sometimes the most powerful inspiration comes from the people we love the most. How do you like to spend time with your granddaughters?
Take care,
Somya from the Carenity Team 🌼

@Somya.P They live about 30 miles away so we video everyday. They are 3 and 6 (soon to be 4 and 7, god the time flies) so my son in law fetches me to visit every few wks as I don't drive. I take them to school, put them to bed, on their insistence and we read alot. Because I am not as able as I was I am limited with what physical play I can offer so we colour, play card or board games, make crafty things etc the majority of the time is spent sitting in the armchair having cuddles and diffusing their squabbles on whose sitting on my lap first or the longest!!! It's all very amusing. My daughter constantly has to remind them "she's not just your Ma, she's both of yours Ma" The best bit is when we don't tell them I'm coming to stay and I just walk in, the look of love on their faces and how they shout "MA!" melts my heart every time. Winter-Iris and Noelle-Rubi. The reason I survive every day.

I can't remember where I found this one but I've had it saved on my phone for a few years:
"Even though I'm feeling overwhelmed, I'm sending myself some love. I choose to feel calm. I choose to meet myself where I am"

Hi @rceebear,
What a lovely quote! It feels so grounding to meet yourself where you are, especially when emotions are running high. Do you find yourself coming back to this quote often?
Wishing you calm and peace,

@KPangela Hi there!
Your morning mantra is so full of positivity and intention, words can carry a lot of power. It’s wonderful that you start your day with so much self-love and motivation. How long have you been practicing this routine, and do you feel it’s made a big difference in your mindset?
Sending good vibes your way!

One fact even Texans don't know about Texas. You are not Texan just by being born here. We are Texans because we behave like Texans.

Hi @LifeDelineator,
That’s quite interesting, sounds like being Texan is more about values and actions than just geography. What do you think defines “Texan behavior” for you?
Take care,

@Somya.P - Unlike those from Galveston (Which, incidentally is named for the most recent Honorary U.S. Citizen) being born does not "make" anyone, anything.
As an expatriate Okie from Muskogee. I have a special kinship to the newly settled founders of our Republic.
My response, to those who claim a birthright to the title of Texan, is always the same.
If we needed it again, would I see you standing beside me, on a parapet in the Alamo?

This, mantra, comes from military veterans so is a bit adult.
Always in the sh*t, but the depth varies. If itcoffends anyone then accept it

@mr chipps - Thank you for all the time, thought and preparation you did not invest in this comment. It helps illustrate why we are in the middle of a repeat of the 2020 election.

Hi @Littlebo,
I’m so sorry to hear about the loss of your Dad. It's really touching that his words of wisdom continue to support you through tough times. Such a simple yet powerful way of reminding us that things do ebb and flow.
Sending you love and strength,

Basically I have found that it depends on the situation. For example if there is a lot of emotional and physical pain, laughter my not be right, as it can reduce importance of the situation.

Hello everyone,
Hope you're doing well. 😊
We all face moments when life gets tough, and during those times, certain words or phrases can really make a difference. Whether it’s a quote, a personal motto, or a mantra, these little reminders can help keep us grounded and push us forward. Some people find strength in a line from a favourite book, while others look to motivational sayings or even something a loved one once said.
Personally, I like to tell myself “this too shall pass” or “one step at a time” to remember that tough times are temporary and progress, even if slow, still counts. What about you?
What motto helps you stay resilient? Do you have a personal mantra that lifts your spirits when things are hard? Or, is there a quote you hold onto when times get difficult?
