@VICKICOFFEY if somebody had told me about it 10 years ago I would have laughed, but after over a year of 3 - 4 hours sleep a night, I started doing this and get 6+ hours sleep a night now, itβs basically lay down in a quiet place, preferably on your back with your eyes closed, and head (possibly knees supported) then breathe in for a count of 6 and out for a count of 6 (through your nose in and out if you can) try to do 20 minutes before bed, it puts the body into a para sympathetic state, it really helps with going to sleep and remaining asleep

Hi tigger. I can understand you not being able to sleep because of your tinnitus . I sometimes get noise in my ears, but it's not as bad as it used to be.
I think it could possibly be because of wearing hearing aids.
If things don't improve, I suggest you see a specialist or audiologist, they can carry out tests. Recent scans show that the small veins in my ears are causing me to be unstable when walking. I recall that you have other long term health issues, so if you can get help with the tinnitus, it may make life lighter
You could try closing your eyes and doing breathing exercises, or other exercises such as yoga or tail chi.
Take care my friend, speak soon xxx

I have been a bad sleeper for many years due to all the epilepsy medication I have been on. Side effects have affected my sleep pattern, i.e. insomnia, exhaustion in the daytime and more. I have finally been put on Amitryptiline for back pain/osteoporosis and a new epilepsy medication for the last ten days. At long last I can sleep for a few hours longer during the night than normal, and hope this might be a solution. I watch television as a form of relaxation in the evenings and try to do Wordsearch when my brain is more in gear!

Hello everyone,
How are you doing today? π
We all know how challenging it can be to get a good night's sleep , especially when managing a chronic illness. Let's come together and share what works for us. Whether it's a particular routine, a favorite relaxation technique, or even a specific product , your experiences might help someone else in the community. π π€ π
Here are a few questions to get the conversation started:
Do you have a bedtime routine that helps you relax and unwind? Are there any specific products (like pillows, mattresses, or sleep aids) that you find helpful? Have you tried any relaxation techniques such as meditation, deep breathing, or listening to calming music? Do you have any tips for creating a sleep-friendly environment?
Looking forward to hearing your tips and tricks for better sleep! Let's support each other in finding ways to rest well and wake up refreshed. π π
Sweet dreams,
Somya from the Carenity team πΌ
