I feel this is wrong. There have been proven side effects with these injection. It assumes that being over weight is the only issue people would have, there could still be underlying health issues. Also yes it is a quick fix and allowing people to lose weight without thinking about eating healthily

@fernster I am contacted by the surgery every month before my tablets are issued, I don't like injections. They monitored me well for side effects which there has been not up until now thankfully. Your GP will have extensive knowledge of your health issues and the instructions clear of various side effects where you should stop taking your medicine. Any sign of illness you are required to stop taking the medicine so very much reducing any risk!

I am taking the tablet form of this drug, I did not fancy the big needle. But in reality if it helps to reduce the health issues of obesity and might provide the incentive for further weight loss. So, reducing the medical burden to the NHS, especially diabetes which may bankrupt the NHS in the end. Plus the many health benefits to individuals and perhaps allowing some to return to work. Obesity in minorities has been a massive issue causing birth issues and death. In all then looking at the reality of our society it has the real posibility of changing peoples lives for the better, as I hope future medicines will do the same!
