Hello @VICKICOFFEY,
Many people can relate! There are so many ways to stay hydrated beyond water, and sometimes flavoured drinks make it easier to keep up (as long as you're mindful of the sugar in them!!). Have you found any ways to remember to hydrate?
Take care,
Somya from the Carenity Team 🌼

Hello @VICKICOFFEY, that sounds like a smart way to stay hydrated while making it more enjoyable! 😊 Not everyone loves plain water. Have you tried using a reminder to sip throughout the day? Sometimes even a simple phone alert can make a big difference. Thanks for sharing your tip!
Take care,

Hi @Somya.P It does make it more enjoyable, that's for sure--not to mention tastier too!! :)
No I don't use reminders. To tell u the truth, I don't use my phone for things like that. I am old school AND old and just don't think about things like that. I wasn't raised on computers and cell phones like you kids now days. They were not offered when I attended school back in the dark ages, LOL..It just doesn't come as second nature to utilize my phone for everything.

I once read an article I think it was by Mirriam Stoppart and she said it was misleading to think you had to literally drink 2 litres of water as food we eat contains water as well.

Hello @mjteddy,
Thank you for that insight! It’s true, many foods contribute to our daily hydration, and it can make staying hydrated feel more achievable. Do you have any go-to foods that you feel help keep you hydrated?

@LifeDelineator As to: "Claims like this, and how willing the masses are to repeat them, without thiking, are a direct result of the FDR propelled nose dive toward socialism. The worst example is the, totally, ridiculous "Things happen for a reason". Things don't happen as a means toward an end, good or bad. For the overwhelming majority of the events, in our lives, things just happen."
HUH?!

More to the point, my question would be: Does your diet require four, additional, pounds of water per day? Due to our more sedentary, post covid, lifestyles; I would say, for the overwhelming majority, no.

Hello @LifeDelineator,
It’s an interesting point, hydration needs definitely vary from person to person. Have you found any particular routine or approach that works best for you?

@Somya.P - It is interesting you should ask; because, without even planning, I know from week to week, almost exactly, how much supplemental fluid I take in, from week to week.
Without going near the inconvceniences of over-hydration, I have found a quart per day is, moderately, too much for a weight/height balance of 2.10 pounds per inch.

@Somya.P consuming circa 50mL per kg of body weight per day helps renal function, especially for people who consume a lot of sodium
I read that in an interesting study, I’ll go back to find it :)

@gmorlet - Rather than locating the publication, can you comment on how it effected you, personally?

Hello everyone,
Hope you’re doing well! 😊
We’ve all been told to drink 2 litres of water a day, but is it really necessary for everyone? Hydration plays a key role in our overall health, but how much water we need can vary from person to person. Factors like weather, activity levels, and certain health conditions can influence how much we should drink. 💧
So, how much water do you typically drink each day? Do you feel it’s enough for your body’s needs? Have you discovered any useful tips to stay hydrated, especially when you’re feeling a bit run down? If you’re managing a chronic illness, have you been given any specific advice about how much water to drink? Also, what do you consider to be a good indicator that you're staying well-hydrated?
