Monday the 14th of November is the World Diabetes Day, and this year the topic of the day is Eyes on Diabetes, which promotes the importance of screening to ensure the early diagnosis of Type 2 Diabetes, as well as the necessity of screening for complications of all types of Diabetes.
This campaing is led by the Internatinal Diabetes Federation (IDF). IDF invites us to get involved in the campaign in order to help raise awareness of this highly spread disease by sharing information about diabetes, its symtoms, risk factors and complications, and an online test which allows to learn your level of risk of type 2 diabetes.
Here is the link to the TEST2PREVENT, available on the official website of the Federation: http://www.idf.org/type-2-diabetes-risk-assessment/.
If you wish to find out how you can help raise awareness of diabetes among the UK population or learn about the events going on in your area for the occasion of the World Diabetes day, contact the Diabetes UK.
Don't hesitate to share your feedback on this Awareness day in this discussion!
Thanks in advance!
