My doctor told me he could manage my pain etc from his surgery, so have never been to the hospital and when asked for referral been told to have blood testts first to see how i am. As i rarely get to the doctors by the time i do this Ive had enough so have to manage myself. I dont drive btw and the doctors is about half a mile away but the nearest. I have done the survey but have not experienced the hospital care.

I moved here 3 years ago and there are no words to describe the. Medical services and hospital services in Wales.A problem with my neck which I had when I moved here has not been sorted and I am having to wait for 8 months to have a nerve block put on a damaged nerve in my head which is resulting in constant horrendous pain and lack of movement to my head. On one appt in January with my consultant I waited 3.5 hours over my appt time to be seen by a trainee who told every person in 5 cubicles including myself that if they hadn’t got pains in their arms and legs then they couldn’t operate. I said thank goodness for that I have no problem with my arms and legs and I don’t think they are attached to my neck. After writing to my consultant to complain I did end up getting an appt for an MRI and in April I saw the consultant who said I had a damaged nerve and he would arrange a theatre appt to have it blocked. I had a letter asking me if I was going on holiday in next 8 weeks so I cleared my diary and said no. A subsequent phone call to consultant secretary she confirmed the op would be in Dec. I questioned the letter I had received and she said nothing to do with then , it was to see if we still wanted an appt I giveup

Hello everyone,
Currently, hospital care is evaluated according to PREMS (Patient-reported experience measures, i.e. the patient's experience in the hospital, the information received, the reception...) and PROMS (Patient-reported outcomes measures which evaluate health status after care).
Were you aware of these evaluations? In your opinion, what should be assessed at the hospital? What needs to be improved?
Let's discuss it in commentd!
Have a good day,
Josephine
