It certainly worsens my lymphoedema. Fortunately I now live in the far north where it doesn’t get hot. We had two days of heat compared to down south. I wet my lymphoedema stocking to cool my leg and use an umbrella on the golf course as a sun Shield.

The recent tropical heat wave was generally intolerable but dealing with chronic pain also was a tricky one. Breathing in cool air helps greatly with pain tolerance I find so I reached for the fans, increased my pain killers and hoped for the best. Not mind blowing but effective for me!

Heat definitely affects the amount of seizures I have, and obviously the length of the seizures.
I tend to have more headaches during the hot weather also. I take Paracetamol or Panadol to help.

It’s not so much the hot weather, I find the humidity to be the bug bear, that certainly makes everything worse. 😪

Do you think hot weather worsen your pain? How do you cope with the heat during summer? Would you mind sharing your tips with us?
